JOB DESCRIPTION
Seeking professional, flexible, dynamic and motivated aviators with Gulfstream 550 or similar experience to join the Jet Aviation Flight Services team. We need great communicators coupled with enthusiasm and a passion to deliver our clients the best possible flight experience from beginning to end.
REQUIREMENTS
Perform duties as Pilot in Command or Second in Command as assigned (see the following and also refer to First Officer job description)
When performing duties as the PIC:
Final authority for the operation of the aircraft assigned.
Authority to delay, cancel or discontinue a flight when conditions are unsuitable for the conduct or continuation of the flight.
Authority to indicate a change in the planned flight during the flight when such a change is appropriate for the safe operation of the aircraft.
Responsible for flight planning.
Institute all necessary changes as required by enroute conditions such that the flight may continue under appropriate procedures and rules.
Responsible for conducting the flight in a safe and prudent manner in accordance with company policies, Federal Aviation Administration regulations, and Department of Homeland Security regulations required of the flight operation.
Participate in the company aviation safety program, taking an active role supporting the open sharing of information on all safety issues and reporting all safety hazards and concerns.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
When in the PIC role, this individual supervises the second-in-command and cabin crewmembers assigned to the flight.
QUALIFICATIONS
Obtain and maintain an FAA First Class Medical
For Fixed Wing Turbojet Aircraft:
3500 hours Total Fixed Wing
1500 hours Multi-Engine Land
1500 hours Pilot-in-Command
500 hours Turbojet
100 hours Night
75 hours Actual or Simulated Instrument
For Rotary Wing:
2500 hours Total Helicopter
1500 hours Pilot-in-Command Helicopter
500 hours Turbine Helicopter
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
Effective oral and written communication.
Must present a team effort approach with great interpersonal skills, attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Must be proactive, efficient, with the ability to seek out answers and resources as needed.
Must be able to work flexible schedules, willing to travel worldwide extensively and without restriction due to administrative or personal history.
Basic computer skills.
Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities
Must be able to handle the job responsibilities with integrity, discretion and sensitivity to confidential company and employee information.
Must satisfactorily and continuously demonstrate proficiency required of the FAA Airline Transport Pilot Practical Test Standards for the aircraft assigned.
Must satisfactorily and continuously demonstrate adherence to company flight operations standards as defined in the General Operations Manual or Flight Operations Manual.
Must be 21 or older and have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; must also be able to pass a required 10-year background check.
Excellent command in English language.
